HQD is a platform that allows users to find items others are willing to give away or sell (up to $15). Users can post short descriptions of items that they want to give away/sell. Images and videos of the items can be attached to enhance descriptions.
Instead of throwing away items and filling up landfills, consider posting those items on HQD to give to others. In addition to posting free item, HQD allows users to sell bundles of items for $5, $10 or $15. HQD can also be used to post descriptions of items that you are currently looking searching for.
There are many advantages to using the HQD platform. The HQD platform uses a grid system to display generalized location of items on a Google Map. This protects user's identities when giving away or selling items. Users of the HQD system must associate a location to their profile in addition to joining a location specific group prior to posting an item. This allows posts of items to be sorted in a variety of different ways. Users can subscribe to groups (these are specific to cities), grids that are 100,000 meter-square, or individual users via RSS.
Once an item is posted other users of the HQD platform can post "taken" in comments. Once this occurs, the user that wishes to take the item can use HQD's internal messaging system to arrange a pickup time and location with the user who posted the item to be given away or sold.
